Mallory Jones, Systems Engineer
At the beginning of 2020, I joined SPEC Innovations as an intern and was thrilled to move to full-time upon graduation from George Mason University. As a systems engineer, I work on various contracts to produce requirements, build diagrams for simulations, and conduct testing. I also support the sales team by producing technical content for outreach in the systems engineering community.
With SPEC Innovations being such a small company, it gives employees the opportunity to wear many different hats. My favorite part about my job is the variety of work my many roles bring me every day, and I also enjoy meeting the new engineers and stakeholders. As an avid traveler, my favorite part of working for SPEC Innovations is the flexibility that working from home allows me to keep up with my adventures, or just have my cat curled up on my lap while I work!
I have one cat with a HUGE personality. She loves playing and goes crazy in “zoomie” mode, but when it’s time to sleep, she loves to cuddle. Aside from traveling, in my spare time I love to go to the beach, ski, and hang out with my friends. My favorite food is fajitas paired with a margarita. When it comes to entertainment, I love rom-coms such as The Proposal and The Other Woman, and I just started reading the third book in the Game of Thrones series.
