We are currently seeking a highly experienced and talented Senior Systems Engineer to join our esteemed team at SPEC Innovations. As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, development, and implementation of complex systems. You will leverage your expertise in requirements analysis, functional analysis, and systems engineering processes to provide innovative approaches and drive the successful application of systems engineering principles. Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee systems engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle, including requirements analysis, system design, integration, testing, and deployment
• Apply advanced systems engineering methodologies to develop and recommend innovative approaches and methodology options
• Provide expert recommendations for the application of systems engineering principles, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives
• Utilize systems engineering principles to address complex requirements and effectively organize and understand intricate systems
• Develop and maintain comprehensive system architectures that account for scalability, performance, and security considerations
• Perform thorough functional analysis and conduct trade studies to evaluate alternative solutions and make informed recommendations
• Utilize modeling and simulation techniques to validate system designs and optimize system performance
• Establish and enforce systems engineering best practices, standards, and processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality systems
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior systems engineering team members
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including clients, project managers, and development teams, to ensure effective communication and successful project outcomes
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and advancements in systems engineering practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline (advanced degree preferred)
• 8 or more years of experience in systems engineering or a related field, with a focus on complex system development
• Extensive knowledge and experience in requirements analysis, system design, and system integration
• Strong understanding of systems engineering principles, methodologies, and best practices
• Proficiency in system modeling and simulation using tools and languages such as Innoslate, LML, SysML, or similar
• In-depth knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) techniques and tools
• Solid expertise in developing comprehensive system architectures
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound technical decisions
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Proven leadership abilities and the capacity to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations in relevant domains (e.g., aerospace, defense, healthcare)

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• Professional certifications in systems engineering (e.g., CSEP, OCSMP, LML)
• Experience working on projects with government or defense customers
• Knowledge of software development methodologies and languages
